Sacred Jouneys Back To Our Inner Truth & Authority

In July 2025 we are walking in the retrograde season.  We already have Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, Saturn retrograding. Mercury will join this week while Chiron will join on the 31st.  Retrograde seasons can feel slower, stickier and like we're being challenged or delayed the experiences we desire, but they are such a gift and truly sacred as we must have periods of reflection in our lives to realign through the reassessment, review, re structuring, redoing or renegotiating of a part of our reality.  Notice the “re” used in the prior sentence.  All retrogrades give us the option to reconnect to the area that the planet is retrograding through to give us insight, new awareness abe information or to change our minds completely.  We can find deep growth during these periods, despite the slow motion and possible delays that may present. Welcome the inner quest.

Saturn retrograde perfected yesterday, the 13th. It’s a heavy hitter and I will touch on it here as it is promised to be felt by us all in one way or another depending on where it shows up in our charts.  Saturn has just begun a new 30 year cycle through the zodiac recently and there are so many potentials that are birthing for us.  The fiery energy of Aries offers initiation of new beginnings, new potentials and Saturn here is the rock and mortar that gives us the practical positioning and courage to create a better life if were tap into our courage and intention.  Saturn demands integrity, responsibility and discipline.  As he slows down to move retrograde for 4 1/2 months as he does once a year, he is reminding us of his laws of Karma.  We must have integrity, and we must move in alignment and be committed to creating the best that we desire.  In ancient astrology, Saturn is the Lord of Karma. You can consider the retrograde period to be a time of “sorting that karma out”.  Our energy turns inward to reflect and reassess before moving forward.  When Saturn will move direct, on the 27th of November, He will be back in Pisces and we will likely feel free, gifted as we will hopefully have come to terms with relevant issue in our world and be ready to move forward in that area.  I like that this Saturn is in harmonious relationships with all the outer planets in a lovely “mystical triangle” in the sky.  I think it’s likely it could feel very spiritual, deeply transformative and can be empowering in allowing us to overcome obstacles that present.  Our endurance is being strengthened. It’s a very spiritual time in our collective right now too.  It’s a time that were being beckoned to come back into alignment with ourselves and our highest path. You’ll be focused, driven and ready to apply yourself.  Where have you giving too much, and how do you come back to your highest inner authority?  Sometimes the beauty is hidden in the work we have to do to get there.  This is one of those times.

On July 18th, Mercury will Retrograde in the sign of Leo.  Mercury will be retrograde until August 11th.

Leo is fire, and fire is about Spirit, will, life, action, courage and inner truth, confidence and authenticity.  Leo is all about self expression, creativity, leadership, will power, courage and heart centered living.  You can see this is a strong energy of self expression and divine missions.  Leo energy is loud, it’s strong, it’s powerful, and it’s often magnetic in its essence.  Leo is ruled by the Sun, and this is a symbol of our soul, our mission, our vitality and energy!  Mercury is about communication, our thinking patterns, the way we process information, travel, and the way we connect with others in our days. Mercury in Leo encourages courageous self expression and creative ways to share our essence.  As Mercury turns retrograde here, we’re invited to look at the way we communicate and share our inner truth and essence. We can begin with asking ourselves how we communicate with ourselves and how do we speak our truth with others.  We can rewrite our life's mission with this energy. How do we use our faith, our courage, our experience and our powerful will to drive our life or to connect to the world around us.  I think that this mercury retrograde is a great time to consider the story we have written so far and change the script.  We can rewrite our stories.  If anyone knows me well, I speak to the stories we write in our head often.  They lay the foundation for the experiences we’e having day to day.  The mind is so powerful and with Mercury ruling the mind, make no mistake that this firey backwards walk will present the opportunity to shine if we take the time to audit and review  and realign with the narrative we want to move forward with.

Needless to say it’s a powerful week that is pulling us inwards to reflect and renegotiate our lives at this moment.  In Ancient Astrology, Rx periods of planets are when they go into the depth of the deepest spaces of our psyche.  When the planets emerge from their plummet, we do too.  We return with more clarity, more confidence, more awareness and understanding.  We know the truth that must be reclaimed.  We know what's aligned and what's not. We have a deeper understanding of what’s happening.  We grow. 

With Neptune, Pluto, Uranus, Saturn and Mercury Retrograde, we are being beckoned to go inside to regroup, renew, realign and reconnect to our truth and desires.  Our inner guidance awaits, as we’ve been likely distracted for some time. Take this time to look at your past, feel your present and reconnect to those beautiful and courageous spaces within that will lovingly and with true wisdom guide you to more empowered and aligned life!
